About the Book
For over 100 years, the communist scourge has spread globally, enslaving billions and causing 150 million deaths. Dr. Cleon Skousen dedicated himself to researching it, determined to help the world "truly understand the motives and ambitions of the Communist Party." After its initial publication in 1958, the book received widespread acclaim, earning the title "Bible of the Cold War." Veteran media personality Fang Wei has since added a history of the anti-communist movement from the 1960s to the present. This content remains compelling and reveals the true nature of the CCP and the fundamental reasons for the collapse of the Soviet Union, clarifying many truths the CCP has strenuously tried to conceal. This book will help you develop keen insight to see through the Communist Party's lies and deceptions, enabling you to assess the situation, avoid harm, and shape the future.

Opening Quote
"It is impossible to coexist with communism on the same planet. Either allow it to spread like cancer and ultimately destroy humanity, or humanity must utterly reject communism."
— Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
Foreword
In 1958, "The Naked Communist" was published and quickly became a bestseller, receiving widespread acclaim. Within a few years, sales surpassed the million mark. During the Reagan administration in the 1980s, if you asked Americans if they had read or heard of this book, almost everyone would nod.
The book also garnered attention from intelligence agencies, earning high praise from the FBI and being hailed by the CIA as the "Cold War Bible," with every intelligence officer possessing a copy.
The author, W. Cleon Skousen, was a popular historian, speaker, and bestselling author. He spent 16 years of his career in the FBI. From that time on, he began studying communism. This book is the culmination of decades of his dedicated research.
In 1961, Skousen added "The 45 Goals of Communism" to the eighth edition of this book. These goals aimed to destroy American culture and ultimately subvert the United States. This drew significant attention from high-ranking US government officials and was entered into the Congressional Record.
Regrettably, Professor Paul Skousen, Cleon Skousen's son, found through his research that as of 2017, 44 of "The 45 Goals of Communism" had been achieved or partially achieved! Consequently, he revised the book and incorporated his research findings into a re-released 60th-anniversary edition. Reader interest in the book surged once again, with sales booming.
Professor Paul Skousen is a mentor and close friend to veteran media personality Fang Wei. The two agreed to publish a Chinese edition of the book. Fang Wei discovered that while the book had a profound global impact, its earlier publication left two regrettable gaps: First, the history of the global anti-communist movement only covered up to 1960, leaving the 70-plus years from the 1960s to the present blank. During this period, the world underwent drastic changes. For instance, the process of the Soviet Union's dissolution serves as an excellent reference for peacefully dismantling the CCP today; the actions of influential figures and the general public then also offer many lessons for people in the world today.
Therefore, in addition to translating the original work, Fang Wei also wrote "The Rise of the CCP" and the history of the anti-communist movement from the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis to the present, which constitute Chapters 11 to 17 of this 2025 Chinese augmented edition.
Another regret was that due to the CCP's continuous "development" of communist theory, the book's analysis of its absurdity was less targeted for Chinese readers. Therefore, Fang Wei rewrote this section, making it more accessible and pertinent.
This 2025 Chinese augmented edition has four major features:
1. Analyzes the absurdity of communist philosophy, dismantling the theoretical foundation of the Communist Party.
2. Reveals the Communist Party's way of thinking and acting, and points out its weaknesses.
3. Proposes key strategies for the peaceful dissolution of the Communist Party.
4. Presents the magnificent history of the global anti-communist movement in a storytelling format.
Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" states: "If you know yourself and your enemy, you will never be defeated." As Chinese readers, whether you are in mainland China and wish to break free from the CCP's enslavement, or you are overseas and want to defend hard-won freedom, this book can help you understand the history of the Communist Party, its way of thinking, and its methods, and find the best countermeasures to defeat it.
