This is an upgraded version of a Cold War classic... The book is well-researched and logically structured... It serves as a warning: communism has never truly "barely" exited the stage; it continues to challenge human values in new guises. Highly recommended for all readers who care about freedom and truth, worth reading repeatedly.

Opening Quote
"It is impossible to coexist with communism on the same planet. Either it is allowed to spread like cancer and ultimately destroy humanity, or humanity must completely reject communism."
— Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
Foreword
In 1958, "The Naked Communist" was published and quickly became a bestseller, receiving widespread acclaim. Within a few years, sales surpassed the million mark. During Ronald Reagan's presidency in the 1980s, almost every American would nod if asked if they had read or heard of the book.
The book also gained attention from intelligence agencies, not only receiving high praise from the FBI but also being hailed by the CIA as "the Bible of the Cold War," with intelligence officers each possessing a copy.
The author, W. Cleon Skousen, was a popular historian, speaker, and bestselling author. He spent 16 years of his career early on with the FBI. From then on, he began studying communism. This book is the culmination of decades of dedicated research.
In 1961, Skousen added "The 45 Goals of Communism" to the eighth edition of this book. These goals aimed to destroy American culture and ultimately subvert the United States. This garnered attention from high-level U.S. government officials and was entered into the Congressional Record.
Regrettably, Professor Paul Skousen, Cleon Skousen's son, found through his research that as of 2017, 44 of "The 45 Goals of Communism" had been achieved or partially achieved! Consequently, he revised the book and incorporated his research findings into a 60th-anniversary edition. Interest in the book surged again, and sales soared.
Professor Paul Skousen is a mentor and friend to veteran media professional Fang Wei. The two decided to publish a Chinese edition of the book. Fang Wei discovered that while the book had a profound global impact, its early publication left two regrettable gaps: First, the history of the world's anti-communist movement only covered up to 1960, leaving a 70-year空白 from the 1960s to the present. During this period, the world underwent tremendous changes. For example, the process of the Soviet Union's collapse serves as an excellent reference for peacefully dismantling the CCP today; the actions of influential figures and the general public in the past also offer much to learn from for people in today's world.
Therefore, in addition to translating the original work, Fang Wei also wrote "The History of the CCP's Rise" and the history of the anti-communist movement from the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis to the present, which constitute Chapters 11 to 17 of this 2025 Chinese augmented edition.
Another regret was that, due to the CCP's continuous "development" of communist theories, the book's analysis of their absurdity was less targeted for Chinese readers. Therefore, Fang Wei also rewrote this section, making it more accessible, understandable, and to the point.
This 2025 Chinese augmented edition has four major features:
1. Analyzes the absurdity of communist philosophy, demolishing the theoretical foundation of the Communist Party;
2. Reveals the thinking and modus operandi of the Communist Party and points out its weaknesses;
3. Proposes key matters for the peaceful dissolution of the Communist Party;
4. Presents a complete and magnificent history of the world's anti-communist movement in a storytelling manner.
"The Art of War" states: "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." As Chinese readers, whether you are in mainland China and wish to escape the CCP's enslavement, or you are overseas and want to defend hard-won freedom, this book will help you understand the history of the Communist Party, its thinking, and its modus operandi, and find the best countermeasures to defeat it.
