This is an upgraded version of a Cold War classic... The book is rich in data and clear in logic... It serves as a warning after reading: communism has never truly "nakedly" retreated, it is still challenging human values in new guises. Highly recommended for all readers who care about freedom and truth, worth pondering repeatedly.

"It is impossible to coexist with communism on the same planet. Either it is allowed to spread like cancer, ultimately destroying humanity; or humanity completely abandons communism."
— Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
Foreword
In 1958, "The Naked Communist" was published and quickly became a bestseller, receiving widespread acclaim. Within a few years, sales surpassed the million mark. During the Reagan administration in the 1980s, almost everyone would nod when asked if they had read or heard of this book.
This book also garnered attention from intelligence agencies, not only receiving high praise from the FBI but also being hailed by the CIA as the "Bible of the Cold War," with intelligence officers each possessing a copy.
The author, W. Cleon Skousen, was a popular historian, speaker, and bestselling author. He spent 16 years of his early career at the FBI. From that time on, he began researching communism. This book is the result of decades of dedicated study.
In 1961, Skousen added "45 Communist Goals" to the eighth edition of this book, goals aimed at destroying American culture and ultimately subverting the United States. This garnered high-level attention from the U.S. government and was entered into the Congressional Record.
Unfortunately, Professor Paul Skousen, Cleon Skousen's son, discovered that as of 2017, 44 of the "45 Communist Goals" had already been realized or partially realized! Consequently, he made some revisions to the book and incorporated his research findings into a re-released 60th-anniversary edition. Reader interest in the book surged again, and sales were booming.
Professor Paul Skousen is a mentor and friend to veteran media professional Fang Wei. The two agreed to publish a Chinese edition of the book. Fang Wei realized that while the book had a profound global impact, due to its early publication, it left two regrets: one was that the history of the world's anti-communist movement only covered up to 1960, leaving a blank for the 70-plus years since the 1960s. During this period, the entire world underwent tremendous changes. For example, the process of the Soviet Union's disintegration serves as an excellent reference for us today in peacefully dismantling the CCP; the actions of influential figures and the general public in the past also offer much insight for people in the world today.
Therefore, in addition to translating the original work, Fang Wei also wrote "The CCP's Rise to Power" and the history of the anti-communist movement from the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis to the present, forming chapters eleven to seventeen of this 2025 Chinese augmented edition.
Another regret was that, due to the CCP's continuous "development" of communist theory, the book's analysis of its absurdity was less targeted for Chinese readers. Therefore, Fang Wei also rewrote this part of the content, making it more accessible and pointed.
This 2025 Chinese augmented edition has four major features:
1. Analyzes the absurdity of communist philosophy, destroying the theoretical foundation of the Communist Party;
2. Reveals the Communist Party's way of thinking and acting, and points out its weaknesses;
3. Proposes key measures for the peaceful dissolution of the Communist Party;
4. Presents the magnificent history of the global anti-communist movement in a storytelling manner.
Sun Tzu's "Art of War" says: "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." As Chinese readers, whether you are in mainland China and wish to escape the CCP's enslavement, or living overseas and want to defend hard-won freedoms, this book can help you understand the history of the Communist Party and its way of thinking and acting, and find the best countermeasures to defeat it.
