This is an upgraded version of a Cold War classic... The book is well-researched and logically structured... After reading it, it serves as a wake-up call: communism has never truly retreated "naked"; it continues to challenge human values with a new facade. Highly recommended to all readers concerned about freedom and truth, worth repeated reading.

A wonderful set of books that (allowed me to) understand the true history of the Soviet and Chinese Communist Parties... and their darkness, cruelty, and violence... It's not boring to read, it's captivating and hard to put down. Thank you to the author for creating this extraordinary set of books, which awakens people to beware of the erosion of communism in the present day!

About the Book
For over 100 years, the red menace of communism has spread across the globe, enslaving billions and causing 150 million deaths. Dr. Cleon Skousen, after extensive research, was determined to help the world "truly understand the motives and ambitions of the Communist Party." First published in 1958, this book was acclaimed as the "Cold War Bible." Veteran journalist Fang Wei has added to this book the history of anti-communist movements from the 1960s to the present day. This content remains captivating and reveals the essence of the Chinese Communist Party and the fundamental reasons for the collapse of the Soviet Union, clarifying many truths that the CCP has desperately tried to conceal. This book will help you develop a keen eye to see through the Communist Party's lies and disguises, enabling you to assess the situation, avoid harm, and grasp the future.

Opening Quote
"It is impossible to coexist with communism on the same planet. Either allow it to spread like cancer and ultimately destroy humanity, or humanity must completely abandon communism."
—Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
Foreword
In 1958, "The Naked Communist" was published and quickly became a bestseller, receiving widespread acclaim. Within a few years, sales surpassed the million mark. In the 1980s, during Ronald Reagan's presidency, almost everyone would nod if asked if they had read or heard of this book.
The book also caught the attention of intelligence agencies, not only receiving high praise from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) but also being hailed as the "Cold War Bible" by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), with intelligence officers keeping a copy each.
The author, W. Cleon Skousen, was a popular historian, speaker, and bestselling author. He spent 16 years of his early career at the FBI. It was then that he began his research into communism. This book is the culmination of decades of his dedicated research.
In 1961, Skousen added "The 45 Goals of Communism" to the eighth edition of this book. These goals aimed to destroy American culture and ultimately subvert the United States. This garnered attention from high-ranking U.S. government officials and was entered into the Congressional Record.
Regrettably, Professor Paul Skousen, Cleon Skousen's son, discovered through his research that as of 2017, 44 of "The 45 Goals of Communism" had been achieved or partially achieved! Consequently, he made some revisions to the book and incorporated his research findings into a re-released 60th-anniversary edition. Reader interest in the book surged again, and sales were booming.
Professor Paul Skousen is a mentor and friend to veteran media professional Fang Wei. The two agreed to publish a Chinese edition of the book. Fang Wei discovered that while the book had a profound global impact, its early publication left two regrets: First, the history of the world's anti-communist movement only covered up to 1960, leaving a void for the subsequent 70-plus years. During this period, the world underwent tremendous changes. For example, the process of the Soviet Union's disintegration serves as an excellent reference for the peaceful dissolution of the Chinese Communist Party today; the actions of influential figures and the general public in the past also offer valuable lessons for people in the world today.
Therefore, in addition to translating the original work, Fang Wei also wrote "The Origin Story of the Chinese Communist Party" and the history of the anti-communist movement from the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis to the present day, which constitute Chapters 11 to 17 of this 2025 Chinese augmented edition.
The other regret was that due to the Chinese Communist Party's continuous "development" of communist theory, the book's analysis of its absurdity was less relevant to Chinese readers. Thus, Fang Wei also rewrote this section, making it more accessible and targeted.
This 2025 Chinese augmented edition has four main features:
1. Analyzes the absurdity of communist philosophy, dismantling the theoretical foundation of the Communist Party;
2. Reveals the Communist Party's way of thinking and acting, and points out its weaknesses;
3. Proposes key actions for the peaceful dissolution of the Communist Party;
4. Presents the magnificent history of the world's anti-communist movement in a storytelling format.
Sun Tzu's "Art of War" states: "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." As Chinese readers, whether you are in mainland China and wish to break free from the CCP's enslavement, or overseas and want to defend hard-won freedom, this book will help you understand the history of the Communist Party, its way of thinking and acting, and find the best strategies to defeat it.
